The Genesis Shard
The SkyBlock Genesis Shard brings a pit back to life instantly: the spawn pit, the Nether and End pits, or your island's ONE CHUNK. Where to find one.
“A fragment of the very first land.” A green crystal with a grass block at its heart. Shattered in a pit, it brings it back to life on the spot, brand new, packed with blocks to mine. No more waiting for the next renewal.
Where to find one
The Genesis Shard can’t be bought and no job drops it. You earn it:
- at the casino, among its prizes;
- in crates;
- in the Daily chest, every now and then;
- as a reward at some prestige tiers;
- at tier IV of every mastery.
Shattering it
- Stand in a pit, or right at its edge.
- Right-click with the shard in hand: it arms itself, and the game tells you which pit will be reborn.
- Right-click again, on the same pit, right after: the shard shatters and the pit is reborn, good as new.
The pits it can bring back:
- the spawn pit;
- the Nether pit and the End pit;
- the ONE CHUNK of an island, if it’s yours, or if you’re allowed to break blocks there (see the starter island).
Good to know
- Everyone nearby sees you do it: “Player shatters a Genesis Shard: the spawn pit is reborn.” Shattering a shard at the spawn means handing a fresh pit to everyone mining with you.
- After a shard, the pit rests for a short moment before it takes another one. At the spawn, that pause applies to everybody.
- No shards in Creative.
Tip: save your shards for the spawn pit at peak time, when it’s mined down to the bone. A full pit for the whole server gets noticed.
