The spawn's Nether

Under the spawn pit, there’s a door. Dig down to the very last layer, break the last block, and you drop into the Nether: a plaza of hellish stone, its own pit, its own ores. It’s the second step into the depths, and the key to the End.

Open the door

• Head down into the spawn pit and dig all the way to the bottom. The last block you break opens the Nether for you and sends you there at once.
• Your access lasts a while, then closes. To reopen it, go back to the bottom of the pit. Doing it while your access is still running resets it to full.
• Once inside, you’re never kicked out: closing only stops you from coming back.
• During the Core of the Pit event, the gate stays sealed while the Core beats (pit events).

Going back

North of the spawn plaza, the Dimensions NPC opens a screen with two windows, the Nether and the End. While your access runs, the window shows the time you have left: one click and you’re off. Closed, it tells you how to open it.

On the Nether plaza, two NPCs wait for you: the End Ferryman, who takes you deeper if you have access, and Back to spawn.

The Nether pit

• A pit of its own, with its own ores: Nether quartz and gold, on top of the netherrack.
• It regenerates regularly, like the spawn’s, with a fresh slice of Nether every time.
• Now and then, a Nether fortress or a mini bastion rises in the pit, chests included.
• What you break goes straight into your inventory. Only what doesn’t fit drops on the ground.
• Falling into the void brings you back to the Nether plaza.
• A Genesis Shard broken here makes the pit reborn instantly.

Tip: the Nether pit has a last layer of its own. Break its very last block and the End opens up to you (the spawn’s End).

Your island’s Nether

Don’t mix them up: your island also earns its own Nether, an islet just for you, unlocked as you climb the prestiges. It’s all on the island dimensions page.
