Pit events

Skyblock spawn pit events explained: Core of the Pit, Meteor Shower, Rush, Golden Pickaxe, XP Rain, Earthquake and Buried Chests, with what each one pays.

Several times an hour, the spawn pit changes its rules. A giant Core to take down together, meteorites crashing in, chests buried in the rock, a rain of XP orbs. Seven events always come round in the same order, each with its own loot. If you mine at the spawn, this is where it pays the most.

When and where

  • Everything happens in the spawn pit. Type /spawn and jump in.
  • Events land at fixed times, several times an hour. The chat warns you a few minutes ahead, with the event’s name and a summary.
  • Under the pit’s plaque, a banner shows the next event and the time left. During the event, it shows its gauge: the Core’s health, the chests left, the meteorites fallen.
  • The order never changes: Core of the Pit, Meteor Shower, Rush, Golden Pickaxe, XP Rain, Earthquake, Buried Chests, then round again.

Shared rules

  • Only your own swing counts. A block broken by hand, pickaxe or axe. Excavation and trees felled in one go don’t count.
  • You have to be there: an idle player earns nothing.
  • Loot goes into your inventory. Left before the end? Your Rinacoins are paid anyway, and your items wait for your next login.

Core of the Pit

The pit digs itself into an arena and a giant amethyst Core beats at the bottom. Every block of the Core you strike is a hit. Its health grows with the number of players around: you need to pile in together, and fast.

  • Every hit pays Rinacoins.
  • Strike enough to see “Loot unlocked”: a prize is yours if the Core falls in time.
  • The most relentless make the podium, with a better prize: Rinacoins, Elementium Bars, Casino Tokens, and sometimes a Copper, Iron or Quartz Core.
  • The Core holds out to the end? Hits are paid, no loot.
  • While the Core beats, the Nether gate at the bottom of the pit is sealed.

Meteor Shower

The sky catches fire: meteorites slam into the pit one after another. Each one blasts a crater and leaves a ball of volcanic rock packed with rare ores (iron, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, emerald), with a golden core in the middle.

  • Dig out the core: it hides loot (Rinacoins, diamonds, emeralds, gold blocks, a Casino Token, an Elementium Bar, and sometimes netherite).
  • Step back when they land: the impact throws everyone nearby away.
  • Cores left behind at the end turn back into blackstone.

Rush

The pit regenerates packed with ore, and job XP climbs on everything you break there, along with the Rinacoins that come with it. It lasts until the next regeneration. The best moment to level up your job.

Golden Pickaxe

Every block of stone, ore or wood broken by hand in the pit can hide loot: Rinacoins, ingots, emeralds, diamonds, a Casino Token, an Elementium Bar. A sound lets you know, louder when it’s rare. And sometimes it’s the JACKPOT, announced to the whole hub.

XP Rain

Every block of stone, ore or wood broken by hand drops an XP orb at your feet, up to your full share of the rain. On top of that, orb showers regularly fall over the heads of those mining. It’s vanilla XP, the kind that pays for your prestiges.

Earthquake

The pit reforms again and again during the event, richer with every tremor, with a structure whose chests hold boosted loot. Every block broken counts: at the end, the top three miners make the podium and win Rinacoins, Elementium Bars or Casino Tokens. You need to have broken enough blocks to qualify.

Buried Chests

Chests are buried in the pit’s rock, not far below the ground: common ones, rare ones, and a single legendary. The first to find one empties it, and everyone hears about it. After a while, sparks rise from the rock and give the hiding spots away.

The legendary one can hold netherite, a beacon, rare level blocks, Redstone, Lapis or Gold Cores, and a big pile of Rinacoins.

Tip: during Buried Chests, don’t dig at random. Stay on the edge, watch for the sparks, then go. During the Core, hang on to the end: a few more hits are often all it takes to reach the podium.

What it levels up

  • The Event Hunter mastery counts every block broken during an event.
  • The Cores you win unlock new resources in your quarries.
  • Casino Tokens are played at the casino, a few steps away.
