Blueprints

SkyBlock blueprints: record a build from your island on a blank blueprint, sell it at the auction house, and have it build itself out of a chest.

Built something amazing? Put it on paper. A blueprint records a build from your island, block by block. You can sell it to other players, and whoever buys it makes it rise from the ground on its own: they fill a chest with materials, and the blocks fly out one by one to their spot.

The blank blueprint

It all starts with a Blank Blueprint. You’ll find them at the Global XP Shop and in crates. The /blacksmith can also give a used blueprint a second life: it turns it back into a blank one, for some job resources.

Recording a build

  1. Hold the blank blueprint, on an island where you’re allowed to build.
  2. Left-click a block: the first corner. Right-click another block: the second corner. The box between them is your selection.
  3. Right-click in the air: the “Save a Blueprint” screen opens. “Name and save”, then type the blueprint’s name in the chat.
  4. Your blueprint is ready: a cyanotype house stamped with a gold seal, with your name as the architect.

One blank blueprint makes one blueprint. The architect can copy any of their blueprints onto another blank, as many times as they have blanks.

Selling it

A blueprint sells as is at the auction house, at the price you set. For the best builders, it’s a real income stream.

Building it

  1. Open the blueprint (right-click with it in hand). Its screen lists the materials needed; “View” shows you a preview on the spot. Then Build.
  2. Aim at the spot on your island: the outline turns green when it fits, red when it doesn’t. Sneak + right-click to rotate it.
  3. Right-click to lock it in: a ghost of the build appears, visible to you alone.
  4. Right-click the materials chest (a chest, a trapped chest or a barrel, on the site’s island), then confirm. The blueprint leaves your inventory: the construction site holds it.

The site starts. Every block flies out of the chest to its spot, with a little pop that climbs as the build progresses. Above the chest, a plaque shows the progress, the time left and what’s missing. A faint outline of chalk dust traces the site’s area.

How a construction site works

  • Each block takes from the chest exactly what breaking it would give back: a bed, a door, a double slab cost what they return.
  • Only plain items are taken: never a renamed item or a device.
  • The site lays whatever the chest can pay for first, skips what’s missing, and keeps liquids for last. When nothing else can move, it pauses and the plaque tells you what to add.
  • It only works while you’re online, and it goes faster with a rank, from VIP up to Empyréen.
  • Every block is placed in your name, with the island’s real rules: protection, hopper limit, level stacks.
  • Once fully built, the blueprint becomes a Used Blueprint: no longer usable, except at the /blacksmith.

Managing your sites

  • /blueprints (or /plan) opens My Construction Sites.
  • Sneak + right-click a site’s chest (empty hand): its screen, to link another chest or abandon the construction site.
  • Abandoning dismantles the site, much faster than it went up: each placed block flies back into the chest, then the blueprint returns to you whole, ready to use again.

What a blueprint keeps

The shape of the blocks, their facing, stairs, doors, beds. Not the contents: chests arrive empty, signs blank, banners plain, heads faceless, crops replanted from scratch.

Tip: before launching a big site, open the blueprint and read its materials list. Fill the chest with the main materials first: the site keeps going while you farm the rest.
