Treasure chests

In the spawn’s treasury, three living chests sit on their beacons. The lid throbs, the chains sway, a ruby heart pulses in a golden dragon’s jaws. These are the treasure chests: a key, a right-click, and a full-screen opening that ends on a reward, sometimes a legendary one.

The three chests

• Treasure Chest, the pirate’s ebony chest bound in bronze and chains. It opens with the Pirate’s Key. This one is the loot.
• Knight’s Treasure, the night-blue enamel reliquary sealed by two swords. It opens with the Knight’s Key. This one is the gear.
• Royal Treasure, the dragon king’s hoard, velvet and gold, a crown on the lid. It opens with the King’s Key. This one is the fortune.

They stand in a row in the spawn’s treasury, north-west of the plaza, with the Key Seller at the end.

Getting keys

• From the Key Seller, for Riozs, one at a time or in bundles. Every purchase asks you to confirm. Short on Riozs? The game drops a Top up my Riozs button in chat, pointing to the Rinaorc store.
• In the Battle Pass, among the tier rewards.
• On the podium of the Dragon Mine, for the week’s best miners.
• Every month with the Empyréen subscription: a Knight’s Key.
• Inside the chests themselves: a key to another chest is one of the rewards.

A key bought or won is bound to you: it only opens for its owner.

Opening a chest

• Left-click a chest: its rewards, in a pyramid, from most common to rarest, with their odds.
• Right-click, its key in hand: the opening begins.

The opening plays full screen: a brushstroke opens the night, your key flies into the seal, the chest’s rewards spin around it, faster and faster. The seal’s rings light up one by one, Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, up to your reward’s rarity. Then the seal swallows everything, a creature bursts out, and your reward appears in its rays. Each chest has its own scene: a bamboo grove and its koi, a red sun and its phoenix, a galaxy and its dragon for the Royal Treasure.

One click skips the animation. Closing the window or logging out loses you nothing: your reward is paid no matter what. Around you, players watch the chest shake and burst with light. A legendary reward is announced to the whole server.

What you can win

• Rinacoins and experience in big batches, sized to your best job level, locked in at the draw.
• Boosters for experience, selling and jobs, stronger than the XP shop’s.
• Cores for your quarries, from the Copper Core to the Ancient Core.
• Primordial Gears and Genesis Shards.
• Devices: the Cyber Hopper, and in the Royal Treasure the Void Chest.
• A Rare spawner, in the Royal Treasure only (spawners).
• Keys, sometimes one to a richer chest.

The guaranteed spawner

In the Royal Treasure, the Rare spawner has its guarantee: if luck doesn’t land, it drops for sure after a set number of keys. The rewards screen tells you how many openings you have left before the guarantee.

Tip: hover the rewards before opening. The Rinacoins amounts shown are what you’d win today: they climb with your job level.
