Grow your island
Grow your skyblock island: island level, level blocks, upgrades, playing together, the bank, your warp and blueprints. What to buy first, and why.

A growing island means more room, more factories and a better spot on the leaderboards. This guide tells you what to level up, in what order, and how not to waste your Rinacoins. To earn them, see Make money.
Know what island level counts
Your island level comes neither from its size nor from your builds. It comes from your level blocks, placed in stacks (island level).
- Where to get them. In the shop’s “Is Level Blocks” shelf (
/shop): hay, sponge and more. Hay gives you the most levels for your money. - How to place them. Place a level block: that is a stack. Right-click it to open its screen, then Deposit or Withdraw in batches, all of it, or the exact number you type. A stack holds as many blocks as you like.
- Marked blocks. The Sawmill turns your logs into level blocks: bookshelf, beehive and more. Only the ones that come out of a Sawmill count: they glow, and two lines say so. The same block crafted by hand or bought doesn’t count (factories).
- Auras. A stack that passes a milestone gains a layer of particles. The higher it climbs, the further away your island can be seen.
Level does three things: it ranks your island in /classement and on the Podium of Legends (leaderboards), it unlocks your island’s next sizes, and it gives you bragging rights at the spawn.
A level block sitting in a chest counts for nothing. Place it.
Buy your upgrades in the right order
/is up opens the Island Upgrades (upgrades). Seven lines, each one on its own:
- Island Size: your border moves out. More room for your factories, farms and stacks.
- Factory Count: how many factories you can place, the Forge included.
- Factory Speed: all your factories run faster at once.
- Crop Growth: your field grows faster.
- Ore Generator: your stone generator (lava and water) sometimes forms an ore. Each level raises the odds and unlocks new ores. Not in the Nether: water evaporates there.
- Hopper Limit: how many hoppers your island can hold.
- Player Capacity: how many of you on the island, owner included.
The order that works:
- Island Size first. The first expansion reaches your ONE CHUNK, your private pit up north. Best buy of the early game.
- Factory Count, as soon as your prestiges or jobs hand you a factory you have no room for.
- Factory Speed, next. It stacks on top of everything you already have.
- Crop Growth if you farm, Ore Generator if you mine. Follow your style.
- Player Capacity when the team grows.
The next sizes need a minimum island level. Stuck? Stack your level blocks, then come back.
Settle in for good
- Your home. Your island has a single home you can move at will:
/is sethome, or the bed in the island menu. Land where you work. - Your rules.
/is settingsopens the Settings: weather, visitors, PvP, explosions, border color. That is also where the owner picks what each rank is allowed to do (island ranks). - Your menu.
/is menuopens the full menu. Faster: the Quick Actions key or the pause menu opens the My Island astrolabe and its medallions, every shortcut at a glance (the astrolabe). - Your name.
/is nomchanges it. That is the name shown on the leaderboards and in the Nobility. - Your theme. Classic, Aether or Boreal: picked at creation, it only changes how your island looks. Switching means starting over on a fresh island. Pick the one you love (island themes).
Play together
Solo works: the Logbook never asks for a second player. Together, things move faster (island social).
- Invite.
/is inviterfollowed by the player name. They must be online and without an island: one click and they are in. - Ranks. Owner, Co-owner, Member, Recruit. The owner hands out ranks and sets what each one can do: move the home, upgrade factories, withdraw from the bank…
- Talk to each other.
/is chatfollowed by your message, or on its own to switch all your chat to the island. - The Island Chest.
/is coffreopens a chest shared by every member. The first page is free, the next ones are bought inside it (the Island Chest). - Hand it over.
/is transferergives the island to a member: the old owner becomes co-owner.
A Recruit invited five minutes ago doesn’t need every right. Raise ranks as trust grows.
Fill the bank, aim for the Nobility
/is banque opens the island bank, shared by everyone: all members deposit, the owner sets who can withdraw (the bank).
Every Monday at midnight, the richest island banks on the server are crowned by the Nobility: a title (Royal House, Duchy, County, Barony) and Elementium for the island, which the owner claims in /is noblesse (the Nobility). A full bank makes an island that matters.
Show your island to the server
Your warp puts your island on /is warps, the departure board everyone checks (warps). /is warp create gives you a sign: the first line is the name, the others the description. The owner pays once, on the first placement. Moving it is free.
Polish the arrival: that is where your visitors land. And if you close the island to visitors in the Settings, your warp closes with it.
Copy your best builds
A blueprint copies a build block by block (blueprints). The Global XP Shop offers a blank blueprint every week (the XP shop).
- Pick two corners on your island and record your build onto the blank blueprint.
- Sell it at the Auction House, or keep it.
- To build it: aim, rotate it (sneak and right-click), lock it with a right-click, then right-click the chest holding the materials.
Blocks leave the chest one by one and fly into place before your eyes. The site keeps going as long as you are online. Giving up? It dismantles itself and your blueprint comes back whole. A used blueprint turns blank again at /forgeron.
Open your island’s Nether and End
With your prestiges, your island gains a Nether, then an End: a terraced islet in each world, all yours, with its own border (the island’s Nether and End). Your spawners and your Void Chest fit there too.
Your island’s portal goes wherever you want: aim at it and right-click to pick its destination. By default, it is the spawn (portals).
Dodge what sets you back
- Resetting your island wipes everything on it: blocks, factories, stacks, upgrades, home. You keep your Rinacoins, the bank, your jobs, your prestiges and your Multitool. Think twice.
- Buying bookshelves for your level. They only count when they come out of a Sawmill.
- Expanding without filling. A huge empty island doesn’t climb the leaderboards: stacks do.
Next up is the race to the top: bosses, prestiges and leaderboards wait for you in Endgame.
