Chat
The SkyBlock chat: show off the item in your hand with [i], talk to your island alone with /is chat, and read players writing in another language, translated.

Three things the SkyBlock chat does for you: show off your loot without a screenshot, talk to your island without the whole server listening, and translate players who write in another language than yours.
Showing your item: [i]
- Type
[i]or[item]in your message. It’s replaced by the item in your hand: its name in brackets, in its rarity colour, followed by “x16” when there’s more than one. - Others hover over it and see its full tooltip: name, enchantments, description, attributes.
- Empty hand:
[i]stays as typed. - It works in the global chat and in your island chat.
Example: hold your best sword and type look [i].
Your island chat
/is chat <message>(also/is tchator/is ic): one line for your island’s members, nobody else. It arrives with a little chime./is chaton its own: everything you type goes to your island, until you type/is chatagain (or log off).- The “chat” lever on the members screen does the same thing, no command needed.
- Every line starts with [Island] and the speaker’s rank (Owner, Co-owner, Member, Recruit). See ranks.
Automatic translation
The server speaks French, English and Spanish. Pick your language with /language (also /langue, /idioma) or in your island’s Settings.
- A player writes in another language than yours: their message reaches you translated, with a small grey globe at the end.
- Hover over it: “Automatically translated”, then the original message and its language.
- If the message is already in your language, you read it as typed, no globe.
- It works in the global chat and the island chat. Not in private messages.
- A message holding
[i]is never translated: the item has to arrive intact. - If the translation doesn’t arrive in time, you read the original: no line ever gets lost.
Tip: to talk to the whole island during a farming session, type
/is chatonce. Your messages stay between you, and your teammates from abroad come through translated.
Good to know
- A player name or an island name can sometimes get translated along with the rest of the sentence.
- Messages to translate go through an automatic translation service.
- The rest of the game (menus, quests, Pompon) follows the language you pick too.
