Azrak, the Worldbreaker

Azrak, the SkyBlock world boss at the PvP warp: when he comes, his three phases, every attack and how to dodge it, his shard shield and the Worldbreaker Set.

The rift tears open, and out steps a horned colossus, crowned with shards, a huge blade in his hand. Azrak, the Worldbreaker, is the world boss you take down together, at the heart of the PvP lands. Three phases, a shield to break, attacks that punish every mistake. And at the end, armor pieces no enchanting table can match.

When and where

  • Azrak comes every day, at set times, to the PvP warp, the Rift Lands. The Colosseum NPC at the spawn shows the next boss and its time.
  • The whole server gets a heads-up in chat a few minutes before, then a countdown appears on the screens of everyone in the warp.
  • Get in early: as soon as he spawns, the warp closes until the fight is over. You can still leave, but you can’t come back.
  • To get there: /warp pvp or /pvp, or the Colosseum NPC. You land in the sanctuary, where nobody can touch you. Jump through the north gate to drop into the arena: there’s no climbing back up.
  • The fight plays out in the rift clearing, around the altar and its stone spires.

Regularly, taking turns with Ignaroth, Heroic Azrak returns: far more health, heavier blows, and the golden pieces of the Heroic Worldbreaker Set.

The fight

  • Three phases, three bars. His bar sits at the top of your screen: the phase, his health, his shield. When a bar shatters, Azrak returns to the centre and his next bar fills up before your eyes.
  • Every hit shows. Your damage pops above him, seen by you alone.
  • Hits count from the clearing, with your weapon or your bow. His health grows with the number of fighters there when he arrives.
  • He hits for real. His blows go partly through armor: good gear helps, it’s not enough on its own.
  • Falling to him at the warp doesn’t cost you your gear.

The Shard Shield

Shards rise at the foot of the spires, each under a column of light. While a single one stands, Azrak can’t be hurt: your hits show SHIELD. Strike the shards until they break. If the remaining shards return to Azrak, he heals and the corruption rises.

Corruption

From the second phase on, every mistake feeds a corruption gauge. When it’s full, it overflows: the Void Scream comes back, faster and stronger.

His attacks and the right answer

Each attack is announced at the top of your screen. Read, then move.

  • Rupture Wave: jump over the ring.
  • Void Rain: get out of the circles before impact.
  • A meteor is targeting you: lead it away from the others.
  • Astral Reaper: get away from the spinning beam.
  • Void Crown: get away from Azrak.
  • Embrace: take shelter under him.
  • The Orb Awakens: strike him head-on to counter. Pull it off and he staggers, taking more damage.
  • Scarlet Orb: whatever you do, don’t hit him head-on.
  • Charge: get out of the red strip.
  • Void Scream: take cover behind a spire.
  • Azrak’s Gaze: look away.
  • Echo: a double rises near a spire and replays his last attack.
  • Dive: he takes flight, run from the mark. If he chooses you, run.
  • The Clearing Collapses: get inside the amethyst ring, the edge burns.
  • End of Worlds: the whole clearing gets struck. Hold on.

Tip: the Orb and the Scarlet Orb look alike. Read the name before hitting him head-on: one saves you, the other burns you.

The loot: the Worldbreaker Set

Pieces drop on the ground at the end of the second phase, then when he falls. Grab them fast: they belong to whoever picks them up, and they eventually vanish like any other item.

Netherite pieces, unbreakable, enchanted past the vanilla maximum, engraved with the date of the fight:

  • Worldbreaker Crown, Rift Cuirass, Colossus Greaves, Void Sabatons;
  • Azrak’s Cleaver, Rupture Axe, Worldbreaker Pickaxe, Astral Scythe, Meteor Bow.

The set bonus: this is the set that tanks. Half the armor worn gives you extra hearts; the full armor gives even more hearts, knockback resistance and toughness.

Worn, it shows. Azrak’s crown in 3D on your head, demon wings on your back, pauldrons carved from the rift. With the full armor, an aura follows you: the ground cracks under your feet, shards rise around you, a ring of light lifts off, and now and then a rift tears open behind you. Switch to third person to enjoy it.

Too many duplicates? At the Blacksmith, the Boss tab trades your duplicates for the piece you’re missing. You can also sell them at the Auction House.

What else a win brings

Only those who really dealt damage count as victors. Every boss you take down raises your Colossus Slayer mastery and counts for the Logbook and the Daily.
